Connect Claude

Add DJ Sync to Claude once on claude.ai. It then works in the Claude apps on your phone and desktop too.

Free plan: one custom connector. Claude’s free plan includes one custom connector, which is enough for DJ Sync. If you already use it for something else, connect through Telegram instead. It’s free too.
  1. Copy your private link from DJ Sync

Click the DJ Sync icon in your menu bar, go to Assistants, click Connect Claude and then Copy. It looks like https://djsync.jeffrey.build/…/…/mcp.

Treat this link like a password. Anyone with it can send requests to your Mac. If it ever leaks, use Rotate in the same place: the old link stops working at once.
  2. Add it to Claude

On a computer, open claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector. Fill in:

    • Name: DJ Sync
    • Remote MCP server URL: paste your link

Leave the advanced (OAuth) settings empty, then click Add.

  3. Turn it on in a chat

In a chat, open the tools menu and switch DJ Sync on. Claude asks before it uses a tool that changes things. Try:

    • “Download https://open.spotify.com/track/… into my Gqom playlist.”
    • “How many afrobeats playlists do I have?”
    • “Search my library for amapiano between 110 and 115 BPM and make a playlist of the results.”
    • “Rename Friday Warm-up to Friday Opening.”
    • “What happened to my last download?”
  4. Use it from your phone

Connectors you add on claude.ai are available in the Claude app on your iPhone or Android phone. Open a chat there, switch DJ Sync on from the tools menu, and ask the same way. The DJ Sync menu on your Mac shows when Claude last used your link.
